is Jira planning to introduce multi select dropdown custom fields in Next Gen as well?
I found this request to have it added, JSWCLOUD-20510, go and add your vote if you would like to see this implemented in the future.
Hi Mikael,
What I am trying to do and i imagine not being the only customer that needs this is to have a field in jira that says which customers have asked for a certain feature request. We use salesforce so we could import all customers name to a certain field but i do not know what field to use. this is a similar usecase: https://community.atlassian.com/t5/Jira-Core-questions/How-to-link-a-Customer-Account-or-Contract-against-an-Issue/qaq-p/196887
What is the best way to implement this in jira currently? Is there a plugin that will allow you to do this?

You want to check out Connector for Salesforce & Jira, we use that integration and is available for both Classic and Next-gen projects. It allows you to associate SFDC objects to issues.

@SpringServe Support Have you tried to use the Checkbox field as an alternative? Keen to hear any limitations of this from you.

The problem I found in using this solution is when you have many options. Each option shows on the issue screen, which will make the screen very long and require scrolling.
