looking for the right PDF Generator

Hello Atlassian Community.

I am looking for an app for JIRA that my company can use to generate pdf files. The application should preferably be able to take custom fields from JIRA and insert the content into a predefined template. This is to be used for e.g. transport documents etc.

I have already looked a bit at BigTemplate by Appfire. But would like to hear if you have experience with others.

Our current solution (self-developed), which runs on JIRA Server, enables users to issue the documents directly from a button on the issue itself. For good reasons, this solution cannot come with ours in the cloud, therefore I am now looking for alternatives.

You should definitely try the Better PDF Exporter!

From the requirements you mentioned it satisfies everything:

1. It supports custom fields (all popular types).
2. It supports PDF templates (which are extremely customizable).
3. You can export a PDF document with 2 clicks (literally) from the Issue View.
