lock version field

Hi,

is there a way to lock the version field in the edit view? We are currently managing our versions through the project administration, but all of our developers still have the permission to enter free text instead of choosing one of the predefined versions.

I already checked the permissions and the field settings...

Remove your developers "project administration" rights.

You must be a registered user to add a comment. If you've already registered, sign in. Otherwise, register and sign in.

was my first thought as well, but our developers don't have administrator rights.. Only the project admins have administrator permission
