I would like some help please: I want a simple query that i can add to a dashboard that tells me the time a ticket was created until the time it was resolved.

Hello,
JQL can return only issues. You should create a filter to select issues, required by you. Then add the FiIlter Result Gadget for your dashboard. Select the filter, which you created, in the dashboard setting and among other fields, also choose the Created and Resolved fields. You will see the information you need.

Thanks for the help, I did what you explained and that worked, only not quite what i was looking for (my fault). Maybe this is not possible:
I want to query a ticket type, say support cases...then find the average of how long each ticket is open. By Open i mean (created - resolved).
