Hi I am building Atlassian-connect plugin for JIRA and most of my data is stored externally, but there is one integer field that  I would like to associate with every story in JIRA, so that it can appear in reports and screens without performing extra Rest calls each time.

It appears there are choices on how to store data in JIRA cloud.  What is my best choice and why?

BTW the value is a story size metric (alternative to story points).
