I have a workflow setup for 2 projects. Basically, the workflow automatically changes the status from ToDo to In Progress when a branch on github is made. The workflow works fine, but it says "Anonymous made an update". How do I change it to "Automation for Jira" or something else?
Nope, still figuring it out. Let me know if you come up with anything.

How is the workflow automatically changing? Through a Post Function in the workflow? Or through an Automation Rule? And if an Automation Rule - who is the actor for the rule?

Ah, I understand now. But also, I am not familiar with how the Triggers are processed in the workflow and what user it thinks did that. You probably need to open a support ticket with Atlassian to see if there is more information available. If you end up doing that, please post back here with the solution.
Otherwise, you could add Comment by an automation rule that the issue was automatically transitioned based on a new pull request being created.

I see. To provide you with more context, here's the screenshot of the email that I receive whenever the workflow gets triggered. I want "Anonymous (Jira)" to be replaced with something like "Automation Jira" or "Jira Workflow Trigger".

didn't get the chance to connect with Atlassian. Will let you know if I proceed with them and get any solution. Thanks for asking!

You will have to go to the script or where this change has been made then update to reflect the name you want.
Can you please send a copy of the script that triggers the status change once you hide all confidential information?
Best,
Fadoua
