jira.view.issue.links.sort.order ignored?

Problem: I'd like my linked issues to be shown in issueview ordered by key.

What I did: changed the jira.view.issue.links.sort.order value to key.

Expected result: Items should appear ordered by their keys.

Actual results: zero changes regardless of the value I set for the config mentioned above. Do I need to "save" these settings or "force" the refresh somewhere?

This the expected behavior at the moment in the new issue view. If you check this KB on configure issue linking it states that currently jira.view.issue.links.sort.order is not supported:

Oh - hadn't realised I was using this "new jira issue view" until I started digging about it, that's why I didn't pay attention to this note.

It seems that we can't roll back to the previous old view [1], so there's no solution for the time being.

Thanks @Mikael Sandberg !

Adding a follow up on this because a question about ordering links came up recently here:

https://community.atlassian.com/forums/Jira-questions/Manual-Ordering-of-Subtasks-and-Linked-related-Issues-in-Tickets/qaq-p/3166639

The KB no longer includes that note mentioned by @Mikael Sandberg , but it still doesn't appear to work. In my system the setting value is "type, status, priority". Perhaps "type" refers to link type and orders then alphabetically, but within the list for a specific Link Type the issues are not ordered by "status, priority".
