jira plugin upgrade

Hi,

i want to switch from jira 3 to jira 6.1 , i use "Jira show saved filter with columns" gadget in my jira 3

i upload new version of "show saved filter with columns" in my jira 6.1

but when i restore my back-ups to jira 6.1 this gadget fail to start , and i have to manually add the new version of this gadget and remove old one from dashboard

why jira don't recognize that they are same gadget with diffrent version ?

how this done automatically?

Are you directly upgrading? Did you move to 4.x first? If not, try that and see if it works in 4.x.

It is recommended to upgrade to the next major version and from there to the next and so on.
