jira core project export import

Hi, I need to know the procedure to export projects and issues from an old server and to import that on a newly configured self hosted jira core server(licensed).

Are you trying to re-create the old server on a new machine?  Or are you setting up a new machine with an upgraded version?   Is this a full move, or are you wanting to merge some of the projects from the old server on to an existing Jira?

Thanks for the reply. I'm setting up a new server with update version. I want to merge some projects from old to new server and make sure existing projects in new server are also be there. Also need to know full backup plan for any disaster.

Are the old and new servers running the same version of Jira?
