java applet in jira

Hallo,

is it possible to add a button in JIRA dashboard and by clicking on this button a java applet will be executed?

if yes , is there any recommend tutorials?

You'll need to write an add-on to do this - one that can give you your button and then pop the applet up.  As you mention it's for the dashboard, I'd recommend writing a gadget to do it.
