issueFunction custom field not added by Script Runner plugin

I've installed the Script Runner plugin but "issueFunction" queries do not work. The documentation refers to the issueFunction custom field being added but I cannot find such a field.

For example, from docs I use the JQL: "issueFunction in hasComments(3)"

produces error:

Field 'issueFunction' does not exist or you do not have permission to view it.

Version details:

Atlassian JIRA (v5.0.2#725-sha1:5735107)

Script Runner:

Version: 2.0.7

Developer: OnResolve Ltd

Add-on key: com.onresolve.jira.groovy.groovyrunner

Nothing in logs.

As Vidic says, it was introduced in 2.1... there is no version with this functionality that supports 5.0.x.

Maybe this function is introduced with Script Runner 2.1 beta (Scriptable JQL functions, 29 Dec 2012)?
