issue with client role

i had given client role outside of my jira domain . but client is unable to access project

getting below error with client role 

""No project could be found with key "xyz"   ""

but it working fine with other roles like developer manager etc.

please help to resolve the issue

Is it for a Software, Service, or Business/Work Management project?

Please show us the definition of the role.

Please show us how you have added that role to have permission in the target project.
