issue licence key, unknown error

I want to validate the license and got:  

Bitte geben Sie Ihren Lizenzschlüssel ein

Unbekannter Fehler.

Es ist ein unbekannter Fehler aufgetreten. Bitte wenden Sie sich an den Support.

 

(input License key, unknown error.... contact the support)

Hi,

Sorry to hear about this error.  When an error like this happens, Jira should be creating some logs about this event.  I would ask that you try to recreate this problem once more, and then immediately go to the $JIRAINSTALL/logs/catalina.out file OR the $JIRAHOME/log/atlassian-jira.log

Either file should have a stacktrace or some other details that should help give us a clue as to why this license is not working as expected here.  Those logs are the only way I think we will be able to identify the source of the problem here.  While you cannot upload that file here to Community, you could either upload it to a service like google drive or dropbox and share the link with us.  Alternatively, if you can just share the section of the logs that happen at this time, it should be sufficient for us to learn more here.

If you are following these steps and getting the error then there might be an issue with your license or your server and you should contact support.
