insane latency, jira is practically unusable

I am not sure what could be the reason but my JIRA is indeed practically unusable, UI elements such as tooltip or dropdowns take sometime more than 5 seconds to even render on hover/click.

Drag and drop is unusable due to same delay. I am trying to move an item from one column to another, but it is not updated until 5 or sometimes even 10seconds.

I am not sure if it is a strategy to promote paid plan. But if that is the case it is not really working.

Tested on M1 Pro Max and other very powerful pc.

Safari, Firefox, Chrome, MacOS, Linux, Windows - unusable in any way shape or form.

That is indeed odd and should not be normal behavior even with a Free plan. 

Have you also tried it on different internet connections? Maybe a phone hotspot?

I'll happily loop in an Atlassian engineer to see if the environment is working as it should but this does feel like an externally influenced issue and those are hard to troubleshoot.

mine is 1gb at home, also in the office is around 300mbps, but still same issue

Sorry to hear about this problem.  It sounds like there might be a performance problem with your cloud environment.  I tried to look into this further, but I did not locate any known problems that would cause the behavior you reported here.

Is this problem still outstanding?  When did you first notice this?

If need be, we could still create a support case on your behalf to try to investigate this further, but this is not something you can do yourself on the free plan tier.
