ignoring existing entries in .csv file import.

Hello!

I want to create a spreadsheet to import that will be used to create new jira issues. i dont want to have to remove old entries to import issues in to jira. If i import the csv that contains existing issues will these issues be affected? is their a way to make it so they won't be affected?

im asking here because i dont have the permissions right now to test this out.

any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hi @asanch04,

Welcome to Atlassian Community!

Unless you add the issue key to existing issues into your csv file, Jira will import everything as new issues. If the issue key is present in the file, the issue will be updated with the information in the file.
