I am trying to use a Jira project with issues, but it always takes me on space site. I am a new learner. Also, i do not understand why it makes so many apps that I am unable to delete them.

@Imran Ahmed Welcome to the Community. I don't understand what you are asking. Can you provide a screen shot or some additional information about the problem that you are seeing?

I am trying to learn Agile using Jira Cloud, including sprints, backlog, issues, and other Scrum-related features. However, when I logged in, I was redirected to a “Space,” which confused me, as I expected to see a Scrum project instead.

A "space" is the container that Jira creates to hold your "work items" such as Epics, Stories, Tasks, Sub-Tasks, etc.

Each space can have one or more "Boards". There are two types of boards: Scrum and Kanban. When you created the space, you would have selected whether you are using Scrum or Kanban. I assume that you selected Scrum.

The next choice you made was whether you were using Team-Managed or Company-Managed project. This choice will change the way your space operates.

If you chose Team-Managed, you will see something like this:

The Backlog is where you have list of work items. You can put them into Sprints or leave them in the backlog.

If you are using Company-Managed, your board will look a little different, but it functions in pretty much the same way. Use the backlog view to create and start your sprints. The "Board" view will show you the status of your active sprint.

If you find all of the different views (such as Calendar, Forms, Goals, etc) overwhelming, you can remove them by hovering over the item. You will see three-dots. That will allow you remove that view from the board.

Atlassian has several excellent self-directed courses that you can follow to learn how about Agile and how to use Jira to support Agile practices. Look at this link for more information: Learning - Atlassian Community

Hello @Imran Ahmed

Welcome to the Atlassian community.

What learning resources are you accessing?

There have been terminology changes implemented by Atlassian in their Jira app. What was previously called a "Project" is now called a "Space". What was previously called an "issue" is now called a "work item".

The learning materials you are accessing may not have been updated for these terminology changes.

On a side note, you can find free, on-demand learning materials from Atlassian from the Learning link at the top of the Community pages. There are Learning Paths that group set of courses. And there are courses available for beginners, as well as intermediate and advanced students.

@Imran Ahmed greetings and welcome to the community!

If you are interested in implementing agile, and more specifically, Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe®), when you have a moment, I invite you to take a look at our app, Agile Hive.

It is built specifically to integrate scaled agile methodology, hierarchies, PI Planning, and dependency management right within Jira.

Just as a note of transparency, I am a technical and content writer for our "SAFe in Jira" solution. Our Jira Cloud version is updated weekly, and we provide monthly public reviews of its development...one of which is going on this morning ;-)

Please give it a look and feel free to schedule a demo with our team to learn more!
