I want to setup splash page for JIRA once it got 404 error

There are a lot of ways to accomplish this and this is not specific to JIRA itself. You can do this with any application if you use a proxy in front of the application.

You must be a registered user to add a comment. If you've already registered, sign in. Otherwise, register and sign in.

I have followed the below document and how ever , its not working for me.

Specially i did not understand this step "Start the other "Maintenance" service (which is still on port 80)"
