It uses Jira's API so the performance is not so good, i was unable to use it in real world situations.

Although it is an additional step, PowerBI can export XLSX files that you can export from JIRA using the Better Excel Plugin.

One of our users uses this approach, although he reported some smaller issue with the columns in PowerBI.
