how to get number of test cases blocked against defect ?

defects linked into the test cases.  I want to use filter query or dashboard  to get number of test cases blocked for each defects?

Advanced queries like this cannot be done with the built-in features of Jira Cloud.

How you may solve this depends upon how frequently you need this type of query and if you want to spent money to add features to Jira.  For example...

  • Need this just one time: export your issues to a spreadsheet and perform the analysis
  • Need this often, and have money to spend on addons: investigate the Jira Marketplace for addons to enhance JQL or dashboard reporting
  • Need this often, and have no money to spend: learn about automation rules, add a custom field to defects to track the number of linked tests, and use an automation rule to update the custom field.  Then you may use built-in JQL features to search/report on the information.
