how to filter and get issues of a specific Initiative in previous sprint ?

I need to filter tickets that are associated with a specific Initiative to better track the progress of the initiative .. 

For example, there are 101, 102, 103 and 104 tickets from past sprint rolled over to the next (current) sprint and 105, 106 107 and 108 from the current sprint in a team 

and 101 , 104 , 105 , 106 and 107 belong to the same initiative say building a rocket , and this particular team is working on it.. 

Can I retrieve these specific tickets that contribute to building a rocket?  

Is there a query that can filter based on Initiatives?

You would have to use a label or component to identify the issues.  Then you could easily filter them using JQL.
