how to edit the start and end dates to Tasks?

Welcome to Atlassian Community.

Please check, these below

1. To edit issue --> You need "Edit Issues" Permission

2. Check the Edit Screen associated with "TASK", and check for "Start" & "End" dates that appeared or not. if not add them.

3. Go to custom fields --> Search for the fields, check for the field contexts, are they displaying required "Task" and "Projects".

If all the above are fine. you may be able to "Edit" the start and end dates of the task.

The SAVE button was not showing Up. After doing RESIZE on the top right corner. I was able to see it. It looks to be BUG.
