how to edit a ticket

I am new to JIRA.  How do I change a ticket type from business requirement to story?  I have mismarked a number of them :(

If the two issue types are configured the same, and the issue type is on the "edit" screen, then you can just edit the issue type.

I'd guess this is not the case though.  To change the issue type when they are configured differently, you will need to use the "move issue" option.  It will ask you for a target project and issue type, but should default the project to the current one, so you just don't change that.
