how to disable a project

I would like to desable a projetc and not delete a project. Is it possible?

If you were on Jira Cloud Premium you could use Archive. On Standard you can do the following:

create a new Permission scheme that does not give anyone (other than admins maybe) any browse access. Associate the new scheme to the project and also use "Archived" as a Project category just so you can filter by archived projects.
