how on Earth do I finally get to install the Jira Gantt-Chart add on?

I got (copied on clipboard) the license. Now. the instructions on the "Getting started with your new add-on" page are invalid for my (10 user) account. After locating the JGC add on I saw no option for uploading the .jar file that I downloaded. what was there upon clicking the "upload" button, was a LINK textbox. I pasted the link to the archive that I had downloaded and got a message to the effect that "your account cannot add this add on".

Now, I cannot even locate the JGC add on in the list (even after Enable Private Listings) anymore. The only "Gantt" entry found on page is the Gantt-Cloud, which I have (enabled; and don't like too much).

Are you using JIRA-Cloud? My Gantt-Chart add-on is not available for the cloud currently: please read compatibility marks on Atlassian Marketplace. May be, you are mixing vendors and add-ons additionally?

compatibility with JIRA versions is listed and documented on the Atlassian Marketplace as well as NOT being available for JIRA Cloud:

In order to install JIRA on your own server instead of using the JIRA-Cloud solution, please click on https://de.atlassian.com/software/jira/download. How to install JIRA and how to adminstrate it is well documented by Atlassian (if necessary, Google helps and knows where to look at ...). Alternatively, please contact sales@atlassian.com or a local reseller/expert close to you for assistance.

How can I get the JIRA version (standalone, downloadable) that would allow me to use the Gantt-Chart? we currently have an under-10-user subscription to the Cloud version, but the very reason why I want JIRA is for it's Gantt capabilities, which are now questionable qua cloud.

 (why isn't that info -that the Gantt-Chart isn't available for the cloud version- available in a public note, btw?)
