where is the administration that I go and confirm what version Iam currently on?   I checked everywhere and it appears not to be in the are I would expect it to list or visible to the admin user.

System information or manage-applications will tell you.

However, you're on Cloud, so the easy answer is "the latest version".  The exact number will change faster than you can really use it.
