Hello,

I run JIRA on very limited resources and would like to disable search for unregistered (not logged in) users.  Is this possible?

Thanks.

Vince

If they can search you must have given browse permission to anyone. If they can see it they can search. Remove anyone from all permission schemes

I would like to disable the search box all together. I was hoping there'd be a possible under-the-hood (unsupported) file I could tweak such as this example here: https://confluence.atlassian.com/display/JIRAKB/HowTo%3A+Hide+the+Login+Gadget+from+the+System+Dashboard+in+JIRA+5.1. 'Anyone' is removed from all permission schemes. Unregistered users do not get any results, nor can they view issues. Nevertheless, my server takes a hit for the search.
