Can JIRA Service Desk send an email to a user with a unique URL link in the message? For example: A JIRA issue sends an email to my Gmail address. Inside of that email is a unique hyperlink that I have to click on to confirm my identity. One requirement is that the user is not and will not be registered as a Service Desk user.
Out of the box, Jira Service Desk won't be able to send email or notifications to email addresses unless those email addresses are registered users. They don't have to be JSD Agents, but they do at least need to be in the customer role and Jira has to know what that user's email address is to be able to send them notifications.
It might be possible to use a 3rd party plugin with Jira in order to send out email in a different manner, perhaps without this native Jira restriction. I believe that the Email this Issue plugin for Jira has this ability, but there might be other plugins as well.
