I don't believe you are able to change that - it defaults to the current month. You would need to submit a suggestion to the JWM team. Click the Give Feedback link on the bottom left of your project.

Hi @Kornel Komlosi and welcome to the Community!

The short answer - unfortunately - is: you can't. From the screenshot you shared, I assume this is a business project (Jira Work Management). While you can change the detail level for viewing the timeline (weeks - months - quarters) near the bottom right corner of the timeline itself, the time range will always default to slightly before today. There is no setting available to change that.

Note that by simply scrolling left or right, you can make the hidden sections visible.
