i am a student, and i want to create a project on my Jira and get my coursemates to join the project, maybe via a link, but not by sending each of them an email, as that would be too much task. what are the alternatives? i am using the free version
Hello @Valentine Nzekah
If your coursemates are not sent an email, how will you communicate with them the link to the project?
Are you concerned with having to manually generate an email for each coursemate?
On a side note, keep in mind that with the Free subscription you can have no more than 10 people granted access to your Jira instance. That is not 10 people per project; that is 10 people in total including yourself. If you have more than 10 coursemates, you will not be able to give all of them access.
thank you so much, this brings a much needed clarity. i was wondering if there is a way i could get them to search for me on Jira and simply join my project. but as i see it, it is not possible on the free version.

There is no method for people to execute a search on the internet for instances of Jira, narrow that down to only instances that you access, and further narrow that down to projects in Jira that you use. You will need to provide them the link to access your project on your Jira instance.
Note also in the non-Free plans it could be possible to grant anonymous access to your Jira instance, but that is not possible with the Free plan. You will need to explicitly grant access to your Jira instance to each of your coursemates.
