estimation in jira (right done)

Deleted user January 2, 2023

is it possible to insert the time estimate made with the timesheets time plugin, as a time estimate in the custom suitable field of Jira provided by default?

Hi @[deleted],

I am not sure if I understand your question correctly, but Tempo Timesheets is built for tracking time spent, not for estimating issues. Your estimates go in the original estimate field in Jira.

Having said that, when you log hours using Tempo Timesheets, the hours you enter go into Jira's Time Spent field and the Remaining Estimate field can be adjusted accordingly, so the information is kept nicely up to date:

The screenshot shows the Log Time dialog provided by Tempo, which displays Jira's built in Remaining Estimate (and reference to the original estimate) fields.

@Walter Buggenhout  thank you for your answer, but obviously I don't want to do the estimate field update by hand. I expect that in a product that costs several thousand there is an "automatic" way.
