error in running curl as shown in tutorial

hey , a beginner here in JIRA api ,
I'm trying to run :

in my mac terminal .

And, i'm getting obviously unexpected result.
what's wrong i'm doing?

I am just getting the source code of the page.. Do i need to configure my profile or something ?

What do you mean by "source of the page"? Whatever you received in the URL you posted should be in json format.
