When a duplicate Issue is created there should be a way to link these issues.

 My Issue is PND3-163 and Which is a Duplicate of PND3-157

Use issue links. 

First one needs to be done with the "more" menu, where you'll find "add link".  Once the first one is there, the issue will display it in a "links" panel which has an "add new link" button
