database recommentation to integrate Jira to SAP

Laura Vallejo

Hello

I have to make a decision in order to choose a database to install Jira.

I would like to know if you have some recommendation in order to integrate Jira to SAP. Would the integration be easier with some database in particular?

Thank you!

The SAP integration is irrelevant in your choice of database because any sane and useful integration will not be done via the database.

The technical recommendation for Jira is to select from Postgres (best), MySQL, Oracle and Microsoft (worst).  But there really is very little between them, and the best recommendation is "use the one you are most familiar with / have a support team for"

The database is not important here. All integration should run over the REST API and stay away from the db.

You can browse the atlassian marketplace for plugins which can integrate jira with SAP.

SAP2Jira would be a nice place to start.
