comments in Jira

Is there an option in Jira to answer in the comments of the ticket like in way of threads?

There's no such option. But you can tag people. People you tagged have notifications, so it is convenient as threaded comments.

Threaded  comments is not supported out of the box. There is one add-on for cloud that you might want to have a look at. Note that I have no experience with this add-on, just offering it as a consideration - threaded-comments

Threaded comments in not possible in the Jira cloud.

There is a feature request. please vote for it.
