is there any way for categorize stories based on status , might be a color code which easily tell me those in live or closed in the backlog without going on to individual issue?
there is a color card option with which you can query but again i need to go click the issue to see that
any other ways?
You can do this on a scrum board by going into the board settings, selecting the card color section, and then choose the colors based on Queries option. From there you can define in JQL queries the statuses that you want to sort by. In my example, all of my issues have a status of either 'to do', 'in progress', or done. You can create JQL statements such as
in order to see the card colors like this.
When you do this, the cards in the backlog have a rather narrow coloring on their edge:
however the active sprint tends to show this a bit better because the cards are a big larger than you see in the backlog.
Does this help do what you are seeking? If not could you elaborate a bit so I can see if there is something more that could be done to achieve the view you are looking for here.
Thanks
Andy
i did that already but the side bar is still not showing any colors and thats what i was mentioning in my question is there any other way than coloring the card

Hi Lekshmi,
That behavior looks like a BUG we are tracking here:
Check the board filter to see if there is a mention of a field that no longer exists.

I love this feature and have used it for many years. Is it available in NextGen?
