changing backup location

we are using JIRA 5.2.7 on Linux

Currently, in my environment the backups are stored under /var/atlassian/application-data/jira/export

Due to space issue, we would like to change this to a different location. How can we do this ?

If you don't have any custom backup paths enabled, then the simplest method on a *nix platform is to add a symbolic link to the backup directory, pointing to the location you would like.
