can we add one jira issue to multiple boards?

We want the same tickets on a new board, we are planning to use labels as a filter for the jira tickets.
Our expected outcome here is a New kanban board with jira tickets marked under one label.

I am not being able to see the next-gen Jira tickets on the board made in the classic type.

Yes you can, @Ashish Sood,

a board is just a view on a set of issues which is determined by a filter. You can specify and modify the filter of a board to display just the set of issues that you like to see there.

Hey I have created a new board in the projects with a saved filter but the jira issue are not visible on the board.

That is a good start :-)

Can you check two things:

  • first make sure your filter itself does return the issues you wish to see;
  • next, check if all statuses that the issues are currently in are also mapped to columns on the board.

If that seems all fine and you still don't see any issues, can you share your board configuration and filter?

can we create multiple board for the next gen project jira tickets also?

yes,  I have checked both.
I have started the filter also.

Aha, next gen ...

No, you cannot add an additional board to a next gen project. But you can create a filter that has your next gen issues and create a kanban board that holds your issues.

I'm not entirely sure about the best place to start, but here's how I managed to simulate what I think you are trying to achieve. Step by step (I am using the new navigation):

  • I opened a random classic jira project, as this has a classic board.
  • Expand the menu on the left from the current board name and choose create board (at the bottom of the menu).

  • Choose Create a kanban board
  • Choose Board from an existing saved filter
  • Give your board a name, select your saved filter as the issue source and select your profile as the location for the board.
  • Then click Create board.

And you should be fine.

I would recommend you then copy the url of your board and paste it as a link in the left navigation bar of your next gen project:

Otherwise it will be hard to find it again.

Hey, I have exactly followed your steps but I am still not able to see the jira on the board. I have also checked the general setting and the filter is set to the saved filter itself.
