Hi @Mourad Marzouk

There is another documented API call for approximate count:

https://developer.atlassian.com/cloud/jira/platform/rest/v3/api-group-issue-search/#api-rest-api-3-search-approximate-count-post

This will likely give you the information you're looking for, but it is a POST request, which requires a body, rather than a GET request, which you can run easily through a browser.

Hello @Mourad Marzouk

Welcome to the Atlassian community.

In this post you originally asked about a solution to get the total count of issues matching a JQL query, via API, and you referenced a KB that had a solution but the solution did not appear to work.

Did you find a solution to your requirement? If so, can you share that with the community so we can learn from your experience?

Ya they moved it to another api endpoint but it's easy to miss

I also reached out to support about the outdated documentation and they have updated it.
