can't change method in the free version of jira backlog prioritization

We are using the free version of the jira backlog prioritization https://marketplace.atlassian.com/apps/1227636/backlog-prioritization-for-jira-free?tab=overview&hosting=cloud

In one of the projects we manage, we are unable to change from RICE to anything else.

At first, it looks as if it changes, but then everything remains the same, and when I go back to the configuration page, I see that it was changed back.

Any ideas?

Have you tried contacting the vendor? They have a link to their support portal at the bottom of the page you reference in the More Details section.
