access to close tasks

Is it possible to create a role that will only have access to close specific types of tasks?

Hi @Ivan Andrieiev , could you explain in a little more detail what you're hoping to achieve here? Are you wanting to have a certain user or role only be able to close tickets and perform no other transitions or are you wanting to limit who can close issues or something else?

We have QA who need to be given the right to close a bug-type task.

Ok but will they be restricted from any other access? Assuming so and assuming you are in a Company managed project then you would...

1. ensure the user are not in any role that aligns with any permissions other than Browse and Transition issues
2. edit the workflow and set a condition for every transition except those to the Done (?) status that restricts the role allowed to transition

I have already considered this method, maybe there is an easier way?

The only other approach would be issue security but that could be more complex. Otherwise maybe consider an addon.
