about the permission of the comments

Armin Cseve
August 15, 2017

I have a problem with the permission of the  comments. I would like to configure, that if someone has own comments, that person could only delete their own comments (any logged in user can write comment, but if i have a comment i would like to have a permission only for myself to delete it). I have already found at the Edit-Grant Permission-Single user (but i could write, there only a special person, but i would like to ask a solution, what is good for every single user to have a permission to delete their own comments.

If anyone could help with this, it would be a great help!

Have a look at https://confluence.atlassian.com/adminjiraserver074/managing-project-permissions-881683464.html

The permission scheme contains:

  1. Add Comments: Ability to comment on issues.
  2. Delete All Comments:  Ability to delete all comments made on issues.
  3. Delete Own Comments:  Ability to delete own comments made on issues.
  4. Edit All Comments:  Ability to edit all comments made on issues.
  5. Edit Own Comments:  Ability to edit own comments made on issues.

You probably want to allow the third one to your users.
