Seriously. I'm getting tired of seeing "features" I don't need being added to Jira, when Atlassian won't fix the copious known issues.
Look at the list of "most voted" issues from their JRACLOUD project. Some of them are 20 years old, and yet Atlassian keeps adding nonsense "AI" features, rather than the things that dedicated, long-time, paying users actually want and need.
The unexpected limitations and rough edges in Jira have cost me hours of time. Some of them are listed on that page. But Atlassian seems to have no interest in fixing them.
Am I off-base here? Or are others as frustrated as I am?
I don't think you are the only one with this opninion. But the opinions are certainly mixed.
For me some (new and old) exising features could definitely use finetuning with extended capabilities to make them more complete. What is there already is not always enough and I notice this especially when talking to users with years and years of Atlassian experience.
On the other hand Atlassian is putting a lot of effort on those more recent products like Product Discovery and AI tools which are also very popular.
