Workload Pie chart with Time tracking & not by Time Spent

Hey everyone, 

I am trying to create a Workload Pie chart & my team is logging their work in 'Time Tracking' the issue feature by Jira.

I want to create this chart with this Time tracking, how can I add 'Time Tracking' in the dropdown option in this chart.

Hi Aleena,

Time tracking encompasses the entire process of estimating, logging, and managing time, whereas time spent is a specific metric that represents the quantifiable result of that process.

Just like in your example, Issue Linking is not a metric or field that you select the value of - it would be the key of the issue it is linked to. 

Therefore, Time Spent is the accurate value to select for your report.

You may want to try using Time Tracking Applications from the Marketplace.

I can recommend our Clockwork Automated Time Tracking & Timesheets Pro as we have a Pie Chart gadget.

The Pie chart gadget shows the time spent split between a selected breakdown. You can configure it with the time range and breakdown you want to see on the spot.

View time spent grouped by projects, epics, issue types, and labels.

You can also use the Timesheet report to view more details of the Time tracked by users. It allows you to filter and break down the data by many components, including custom fields. 

You can install the App and start using it as the time tracked with native Jira Time Tracking will sync with Clockwork.
