Workflow help

We use Jira and Jira Service Management.  We have 2 of our Jira SM projects combined into one Jira Board.  For each issue there will be a review before move it to done.  The request is to create a column in the Jira board called Review, when issue is moved to this column the issue is completed or Done, that was easy to setup in Jira.  My problem is we can't move the issue to the review (it's greyed out).  I tried tweaking the workflow but haven't been successful.  Any suggestions?  I'd also like that review to transition to To Do.

Can you show us the diagram for the workflow and the screen in Board Settings that shows the Columns and their mapped statuses?

When you say you "can't move the issue"...

1. What is the current status of the issue?

2. How are you trying to move it? Are you trying to drag it to the new column on the board, or are you looking at the issue details and trying to select the status value therein?

1. the status is in progress, I tried with the other status and still unable to move to Review

2.  drag and dropping it on the board.  It is also not an option in the dropdown when in the issue

Looking at the diagram, there are no inbound transitions to the Done status. Notice it has no arrows pointing at it. You need to add transitions to it from other statuses.

Also, if Done is your "in review" status, to what status does it transition after that? The only outbound transition you have for it is to go back to In Progress.

you need a status that is then mapped to the column. maybe this status is "Review".

I was thinking the same thing, so I added a Review status but that status doesn't show transition steps Done/Completed.  It's not giving me the results.
