I have given a specific user the permission to update the workflow. But they are not able to update it. I have updated the permission scheme. In the Edit Workflows option I have added the specific user, who is also the project lead. But they are still not able to update it.
If a workflow is shared with multiple projects, only the Jira admins (site-admins) can update it.
Project admins can update the workflows used for the specific projects if they have the "Edit Workflows" permission.
Thanks!
The same user is admin for both projects and both projects share the same permission scheme.
Will it work if I just separate the workflow.

Hey @Md_ Abrarul Huda yes, if the workflow is used for one project only, the user will be able to edit it. You may create a copy of the workflow and associate each project to a separate workflow, if that's feasible for your use case.

Hi @Md_ Abrarul Huda , thanks for your post.
Please can you confirm, this is for a company-managed project?
Please can you confirm, is the workflow in question only used in this project?
I would imagine you have already checked this - https://support.atlassian.com/jira-cloud-administration/docs/permissions-for-company-managed-projects/ .
Please can you show the permission scheme?
What does the user see? Can they access the project settings? Can they access this page?
and then they can't edit the workflow? If it is a workflow which is used in more projects, that might be the problem.
Please can you provide some more information so we can help?
Best wishes

It is a company managed project. Workflow is being used in 2 projects. Both have the same permission scheme and both have the same project lead. I've seen the article. Did do everything by that way. Trying to show the permission scheme but forum is not letting me attach anything. Trying in the next reply. User can see the settings page and the workflow page. But the edit workflow button is muted for them.

Hi @Md_ Abrarul Huda , thanks for your reply. I think the issue is that the workflow is used in more than one project. In order to be able to modify shared workflows, you likely need the Jira administrator app / product permission.
@Karan Sachdev , please can you confirm?

Hey @Md_ Abrarul Huda and @Valerie Knapp
That's correct. The Edit Workflow permission allows the user to edit workflows that are used in single projects. For shared projects, the Jira admin permission is required.
