Will having projects living under one project impact long term performance?

Right now we have our projects broken out by year with the client name. We would like to format the hiearchy where there would be one main project labeled as the client and then have yearly projects under it. By doing this will it impact long term perfromance?

As you can't have projects under projects, and there is no "hierarchy", no, it's not going to have any effect at all.

Ok thank you for answering my question so quickly. Just to clairify there is no such thing as creating "sub projects"?
