Will delivered releases stay in JIRA forever?

I couldn't find anything stating that they would automatically delete and/or archive off of JIRA after so many months and/or years. It would be nice to be able to search for delivered user stories at any given point regardless of how old they are.

Jira doesn't have any function to remove things automatically be default - a human has to actively choose to delete something (or install apps that can archive or delete for them)
