Will clicking "Release" on already deployed releases break anything?

Will clicking "Release" on already deployed releases break anything?

I am currently cleaning up our Jira project info and we have a lot of unreleased releases. If after adding timeline info and basic descriptions, I press release, will this break anything? Subsequently I am asked by Jira if there is no build, with new build, with existing build. Will choosing any of these affect anything other than status?

Hi @Stephan Cheatham,

For clean up purposes you should be able to simply select the "Release" option which will prompt you to provide the release date again. and will move that release from the "Unreleased" state to the "Released" state.
