Will a Bulk Change for updating multiple watchers on an issue ever be implemented?

It would be so incredibly helpful and time saving to allow a bulk change of adding multiple watchers on an issue.  Currently while making bulk changes, you can only add yourself as a watcher and then you have to go into each issue separately and add all the needed watchers. So time consuming when you have a bulk changed a large amount of issues.  It would be a great enhancement to Jira if this was implemented! thanks!

Hi @Jena Halcomb

Unfortunately, that functionality doesn't exist in the cloud today, but there is a suggestion for it under JRACLOUD-15324 .  I'd recommend voting for that suggestion!

As a workaround, you can use Jira automation to accomplish this if you have permission to create automations by using the Scheduled trigger, so you can supply a JQL statement for your issues, and then the Manage watchers rule action

thank you, Chris! I voted and became a watcher... I don't have access to try the workaround, but I sent it to my ITSM folks!
