you can use components for creating more structure in your project.

You can set a component lead, so if you create an issue and set the component, the component lead gets the issue automatically.

They provide a logical separation of work which can be useful for large projects with lots of moving parts. You can also provide a component lead so that the default assignee for new issues will be the component lead.
